Tread Trainer Course

Tread Lightly!'s Tread Trainer course is an 8-hour course designed to provide a "crash course" on outdoor ethics focusing on motorized or water recreation.  Participation in the course qualifies individuals to present the Tread Lightly! message to others in their units, districts, the council state or region.  Participants will work with Master Trainers or Tread Lightly! staff on understanding the role outdoor ethics play in the recreation community, learn the Tread Lightly! principles of responsible recreation and be provided with the tools to conduct workshops.  The course is either land-based focusing on the Tread Lightly! principles designed to minimize impacts on roads, trails, and the wildlands they access or is water-based, focusing on how waterways and surround lands are impacted by recreation and the Tread Lightly! principles that minimize the influences of these activities.
